The second season of Go-Toubun no Hanayome is delayed by the coronavirus

The second season of Go-Toubun no Hanayome is delayed by the coronavirus The Twitter account of the anime adaptation of the manga Go-Toubun no Hanayome announced that the premiere of the second season of the anime series will be delayed.

The second season was slated to premiere in October 2020, but due to the coronavirus crisis and Japan's declared state of emergency has been delayed until January 2021.

Hopefully this is the first and last delay suffered by the second season, because of the coronavirus.

The anime has undergone a studio change, originally Tezuka Productions was commissioned to produce the first season, and now Bibury Animation Studios is in charge of the second season. It was also announced that director Satoshi Kuwahara would leave Kaori Fujita as director.

Previously, some media had announced that the second season would premiere in July, but this was only a rumor that was shared by a Twitter user and not by the anime's official accounts.

Go-Toubun no Hanayome is a manga written and illustrated by Negi Haruba. It has been serialized weekly in Weekly Shonen magazine since August 2017. The manga features an anime adaptation that has a second season that will premiere this year.
